Hi-BBS™ is a state of the art BBS software solution. Here are a few notes about this package:
INSTALLATION:
Users running system 7 will only require, in addition to the hi-BBS™ Client application, that the connection tools "CTB Tools.sea" be placed in the system folder. These tools are required for dial-out and AppleTalk access.
Users running sytem 6.x must also install the Communications Toolbox by downloading the "Communications.sea" file from our customer support BBS and transfering it's contents to a disquette. You must then reboot from the disquette and use the Communications Toolbox Installer. For any additional information on the Apple Communications Toolbox, contact your local Apple dealer or local user group.
Additionaly, a hi-BBS™ Client QuickGuide is available to describe the features and use of hi-BBS™. This file can also be downloaded from our customer support BBS.

CUSTOMER SUPPORT
XBR also provides a public BBS for customer comments and questions. You may log-in with a generic access code or you may register with us and we will issue you a user code and password to allow for personalised service.
Hi-BBS™ LOG-IN
Once you have launched the hi-BBS™ Client application, select the "Connection" menu and choose the "Manual Connection" option. When prompted, enter the following User and Organization names then click the "Connection Setup" button.
Organization : "BBS".
User Code : "GUEST"
Password : "GUEST"
The connection settings window allows the user to configure the various connection parameters:
1-Select the Apple Modem Tool in the method pop-up button.
2-Configure the Port and Modem Settings according to type of modem you are using.
3-To access XBR`s customer support BBS, enter our number in the phone settings dialog box; (514) 489-0445 (9600bps V.32).
4-Click "OK" to confirm your settings.
5-Select "OK" in the manual connections window to initiate the log-on.
6- When prompted, enter your password.
NOTE : Please remember that all entries are case sensitive.
Once you have logged in, you may browse the various forums or leave mail.
To receive information, support or to request a User code, send us an Electronic Mail message at "TECH.SUPPORT" . Be sure to include all the following information:
Name/Title/Departement
Company Name
Full Address with Zip code
Phone and fax number
Requested User code (max 8 characters, please provide three choices)
